What we collect
- When you ask about a machine: the machine, your name and your email. If you give them, also your company, phone number, delivery postcode and any notes.
- When you use the contact form: your name, your email and your message, and your phone number if you give it.
- When you email us: the address you write from and what you write.
- When you buy: your name, email, company, the machine and the price.
- When we arrange delivery: the delivery details for that job.
Quote requests are recorded as coming from a buyer.
How we use it
We use those details to reply to your enquiry and, if you ask, to prepare a quote.
We email the enquiry to office@outbacklifting.com.au.
Who we share it with
Our email provider delivers enquiries to our office and stores our business email.
We use Xero for invoicing; it receives your name, email, company, the machine and the price.
When we arrange delivery, we give the freight provider the details it needs.
Some of your details may be stored or processed outside Australia, including in the United States, by our email provider, website host and invoicing software (Xero). If we check a machine with a supplier in Taiwan, we share only the machine and your question, not your name or contact details.
Our website host keeps request logs, which include details such as your IP address and browser.
How we keep it secure
We keep enquiry records in the website's database. We do not put your name, email, phone number, company, postcode, notes, or message on the public pages.
The public site uses HTTPS. The office area is limited to staff. There is no buyer account on this website.
How long we keep it
If you buy a machine from us, we keep your records for at least 7 years after the sale, to meet Australian company record-keeping rules. We delete enquiry records held by this website 2 years after they were last updated. We also keep copies of website enquiries and emails you send us directly in our business email as part of our records.
Cookies
Public pages don't set cookies. If you're staff and sign in to the office area, we set a sign-in cookie. If we turn on a cookie notice and you make a choice, we save that choice in a cookie. If we turn on enquiry pop-ups, your browser remembers which ones it has shown during your visit. We do not use analytics.

Complaints
Write first to office@outbacklifting.com.au.
You can then complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au. The OAIC asks you to complain to us first.
